100% Offline Operations

The application functions completely offline. There are no proprietary backend cloud syncs or shadow transmissions.

Zero Data Collection

We do not collect or monitor personal data, analytics, playback histories, device states, or preference configurations.

Device-Only Sandbox

All data is contained in isolated sandboxes on your device, adhering strictly to OS-level storage protocols.

1. Introduction

AudiobookPlay (the "Application") is built as a local-first, offline-focused mobile and desktop audiobook player. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application.

2. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage statistics, device information, or playback details. All Application data, including library details, playback positions, sleep timer configurations, and application preferences, are stored locally on your device and are never shared with or sent to third parties.

The Application operates completely offline and does not contain any network communication capabilities (other than what is native to Flutter for standard system updates, which are not handled by us).

3. Device Permissions

To provide its core functionality, the Application requires the following permissions on your device. We do not use these permissions to collect information or monitor your device activity.

Storage / Media Access

Necessary to scan, locate, and play your audiobooks stored in the folder(s) of your choice. The app only accesses directories you explicitly grant access to.

Foreground Service / Background Audio

Necessary to allow audio playback to continue smoothly when the screen is turned off or when you switch to another application.

Wake Lock

Necessary to prevent the system operating system from sleeping or terminating the audio stream during prolonged, uninterrupted playback sessions.

4. Children's Privacy

Because our Application collects absolutely no information, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from anyone.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating the text of this document. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
