Simple SFTP is designed with privacy and security as foundational principles. We do not collect, store, track, or share any personal data, usage analytics, telemetry, or server credentials. All files, passwords, and private keys remain strictly on your device.
Simple SFTP does not collect any information from you:
Your server connection details (including hostnames, usernames, passwords, and SSH private key passphrases) are stored exclusively on your device.
If you enable Biometric App Lock, the authentication challenge is processed entirely on-device by your operating system's Secure Enclave / Biometric subsystem (such as Apple LocalAuthentication or Android BiometricPrompt).
Simple SFTP only receives a confirmation from the operating system whether the authentication was successful. The application never accesses, reads, or stores your biometric data.
All SFTP/SSH network connections are made directly from your device to the remote servers and ports you specify. Connections utilize the secure SSH-2 protocol with standard cryptographic authentication (password or public key cryptography). No proxy or relay servers operated by us are involved.
Simple SFTP requests only the permissions necessary to fulfill file transfer operations:
Simple SFTP does not include third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics frameworks.
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected with a revised "Effective Date" on this page. Because we do not collect your email address, we encourage you to review this policy whenever updating the app.
