1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the UK TV Guide mobile, desktop, and television applications (available on Apple tvOS, iOS, Android, and macOS), published under bundle identifier uk.co.andytomg.tvguide.

We believe that your privacy is a fundamental right. UK TV Guide is designed from the ground up to provide fast, reliable UK television guide schedules without compromising your privacy or tracking your activity.

2 Information We Do Not Collect

UK TV Guide does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). In particular:

No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or date of birth.
No Account Data: The application does not have an account creation or authentication system.
No Location Data: We do not request, access, or track GPS coordinates or location information.
No Financial Data: We do not collect credit card, banking, or billing details.
No Cross-App Tracking: We do not track you across other applications, websites, or services. We do not access Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google's Advertising ID (AAID).

3 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To make the app fast and convenient, certain non-personal configuration data is stored locally in your device's isolated application sandbox:

Your Control: You can reset or delete all local data at any time through the in-app Settings ("Reset to Default") or by clearing the app data / uninstalling the application from your device.

4 Network Requests & TV Schedule Data

The application connects to public internet endpoints over encrypted HTTPS solely to download television schedule feeds (Electronic Programme Guide / XMLTV data).

These network requests fetch public TV broadcast metadata (e.g. channel names, programme titles, airtimes, descriptions).
No user-specific parameters, device serial numbers, or advertising identifiers are included in these requests.
Standard web server logs of the public content delivery network (CDN) may temporarily record technical connection data (e.g., standard HTTP User-Agent and IP address) for basic traffic routing and DDOS protection as with any internet communication.

5 Third-Party Services & Advertising

Zero Third-Party Advertising: UK TV Guide is 100% ad-free. We do not integrate with any ad networks, programmatic ad brokers, or behavioral tracking SDKs.

Zero Third-Party Analytics: We do not include third-party behavioral analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook Graph SDK).

6 Device Permissions

The application only requests the minimal permissions required for its core functionality:

We do not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, motion sensors, or Bluetooth.

7 Children's Privacy

UK TV Guide complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Because we do not collect any personal data whatsoever, we do not knowingly collect, store, or share information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).

8 Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA / CPRA)

Under applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

Right to Know / Access: You have the right to know what personal data is held about you. Since we do not collect or transmit your personal data, no personal records are maintained on any remote server.
Right to Deletion: You have the right to delete all your data. Because all your preferences, favorites, and cached guide data exist exclusively on your device, you can delete everything immediately by clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale / Sharing: We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
